About Angela Miller…

After spending the last 5 years in the recruiting industry, both in outside agencies and managing internal corporate recruiting departments, I have seen countless good AND bad interviews, dealt with unrealistic requirements of deranged hiring managers, managed annoying and inappropriate follow ups from job seekers, and matched many people to fulfilling jobs. Now I’m ready to  give something back.  In my blog, you can expect rants, resources and realities from my daily life in recruiting.  What TO do, what NOT to do, and how to generally avoid being a dumb%$# in front of prospective employers.  From interview advice and resume tips, to  social media and personal branding,  this is a no BS zone.   If you want a life coach, someone to tell you to reach for the stars and never give up… I’m probably not the person to follow.  BUT, if direct, observational advice with no sugar coating is what you seek, then I may be just the resource for you!

If you need help writing your resume, I can help you with that!  Check out my resume writing service.

    Hi Angela,

Your blog was an eye-opener,I particularly have created value for employers I have worked it,without trying to blare my horn or anything,I can say that for a “chinese” firm with a high manpower turnover rate,I am amongst a few they have proceeded to build a local nucleus about.

But I have found it hard getting recruited to other places, and its given me worry. Its hilarious that colleagues I trained have gotten recruited to better positions and are still calling occasionaly for “bail-outs”.

Discovered I had a “3”month job stint recorded in my CV, and after reading your article….I think am taking it off immediately. Thanks.
